Who We Are

Meeting the Challenge Inc. (MTC) is an accessibility compliance consulting firm that serves individuals and organizations with rights and responsibilities for compliance under federal disability laws. MTC has the broad based knowledge, resources, and affiliate network to provide clients with solutions to solve their disability law compliance challenges and increase access for people with disabilities.

Since its incorporation in 1989, MTC has been committed to equal access for people with disabilities. MTC executives have been members of standard setting committees, -since the inception of the Americans with Disabilities Act, including:

- ADAAG Review Advisory Committee
- Electronic and Information Technology Access Advisory Committee
- Recreation Access Advisory Committee

Since 1991, MTC has operated the Rocky Mountain ADA Center, one of ten regional technical assistance centers funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research, a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Rocky Mountain ADA Center has provided technical assistance on the Americans with Disabilities Act, throughout the six state Rocky Mountain region (Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, and North Dakota), for 25 years and has established itself as a leader among the ten regional technical assistance centers. Through this experience, MTC has become a recognized authority in ADA knowledge and implementation.

In addition to increasing awareness and understanding of disability rights laws through the Rocky Mountain ADA Center, MTC is helping clients, throughout the U.S., create a more accessible world for everyone.

In February, 2018, Meeting the Challenge Inc. merged with CP&Y, a Dallas-based engineering and architectural firm.

Meeting the Challenge will operate as a subsidiary of CP&Y in Colorado Springs, while CP&Y will continue to run its six-person office in the Springs.

"The combination of our companies brings together a broader suite of accessibility services to CP&Y clients and provides MTC direct access to CP&Y's deep pool of industry experts, resources and clients," Meeting the Challenge President Kent Kelley said in a news release.
